Shoulder arthroscopy is a minimally invasive diagnostic and surgical procedure for conditions and injuries involving the bones, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and muscles of the shoulder joint.

Total shoulder replacement surgery is performed to relieves symptoms of severe shoulder pain and disability due to arthritis. In this surgery, the damaged articulating parts of the shoulder joint are removed and replaced with artificial prostheses.
The purpose of this study was to describe the outcomes after operative repair of ballistic femoral neck fractures. To better highlight the devastating nature of these injuries, we compared a cohort of ballistic femoral neck fractures to a cohort of young, closed, blunt-injury femoral neck fractures treated with open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF).
